Davis Learning Strategies – Services not requiring Licensing

  Davis Learning Strategies

One goal of Davis Learning Strategies is to provide teachers with appropriate tools to work with young children, and to encourage the widespread use of these tools with young children. Ideally, children taught with such methods in the classroom will develop a strong foundation for learning and gaining reading skills, and fewer will need special education services.

Because of this goal, there is no restriction on the use of these tools in the classroom setting, in a non-commercial context. Davis Facilitators who are employed as teachers and who feel qualified to teach using the Davis Learning Strategies are free to implement them in the classroom, in any manner that is appropriate to their environment.

Attendance at a Davis Learning Strategies teacher workshop is highly recommended. A DLS workshop will give the facilitator the knowledge needed to differentiated between DLS strategies and the dyslexia program, and to implement the Davis tools successfully in a group setting.

However, such services should not be advertised or offered on a fee-for-services basis.
