Davis Learning Strategies – DLS Presenter and Mentors

  Davis Learning Strategies

Change is coming! Davis will soon implement new standards for Facilitator websites consistent with our transition to new branding and messaging.

  1. DLS Mentors & Workshop Presenters: The Davis Learning Strategies program should be referenced only by Facilitators who are licensed as DLS Mentors and/or DLS Workshop Presenters. Other Facilitators may include a brief description and link to the Davis Learning Strategies web site and/or the appropriate web site for their country or language, in a manner that makes it clear that the Facilitator does not offer such services. The term “Davis Learning Strategies” should not be used to describe any services offered directly to students or dyslexia clients of any age. Davis providers who wish to work with children aged 5-7 may offer the Davis® Reading Program for Young Learners consistent with the standards for that program.
  2. Description of Services offered: Licensed DLS Mentors / Workshop Presenters may describe the services they offer to schools and teachers in reference to training and mentoring, consistent with any standards developed by their affiliate DDA. The DLS license does not authorize a Davis Facilitator to offer group lessons or support in a private or school setting using Davis® trademarks. The designation “Davis Learning Strategies” should only be used in connection with teacher training and mentoring services.
  3. Required Trademark Notice:  Any page or pages that describe DLS training and mentoring services offered by the Facilitator, or the Facilitator’s licensing and qualification to offer such services, should contain the following trademark notice:

Davis Learning Strategies® is a trademark of the Ronald D. Davis and Alice E. Davis Living Trust. Commercial use of this trademark for the purposes of training and mentoring teachers requires licensing by the trademark owner.

  4. Links: The main page or area on the site which describes Davis Learning Strategies should include a link to the DLS web site at www.davislearn.com. This may be coded as follows:

    <a href=”https://www.davislearn.com/”>Davis Learning Strategies</a>

This link may be incorporated within the trademark notice described above.

  5. Logo: Facilitators who are licensed to provide Davis Learning Strategies mentoring or training may use the following logos on their website. This logo may be used anywhere on the site, but should be associated with a link to https://www.davislearning.com. These logos should not be resized without specific approval from DDAI.
