Changes to your Web Site

  Web Site Approval Process

If you make changes to a web site that has already been approved, you must promptly inform DDAI  or your DDA of affiliation of any significant changes to portions of the web site related to Davis program or services, including changes to text, addition of new material, and addition of new images or videos depicting Davis programs or techniques.

Important:  Removal of mandatory trademark notices from an existing site after approval; or redirecting an approved URL to a different web site that has not been approved may be treated as violation of your facilitator’s license,  and can result in license termination or nonrenewal.

You do not need advance approval to add new material, but you should be prepared to promptly make changes or corrections if asked.

It is not necessary to inform DDAI or seek approval of changes to the web site that are unrelated to the Davis program, or minor corrections such as grammatical corrections or changes to information about your hours or fees. For example, you would not need  approval if you added a general article about symptoms of dyslexia, or if you posted photographs of children reading books, or a new photograph of yourself or the place where you work.

Change is coming! Davis will soon implement new standards for Facilitator websites consistent with our transition to new branding and messaging.

Please do seek advance approval if you are doing a full site redesign.   A “redesign” means the basic site layout and overall appearance is changing, even if the content is the same.  It is usually best to keep the old site live while the new one is being created at a separate, staging URL. Because of changes to Davis trademark use and branding beginning in 2024, you will not be able to simply copy material from your previously-approved website.
