Web Site Trademark Notice
Facilitators in Canada should use the following trademark notice on their web sites.
Professional services described as Davis®, including Davis Dyslexia Correction®, Davis® Symbol Mastery, Davis® Orientation Counseling, Davis® Attention Mastery, Davis® Math Mastery, and Davis® Reading Program for Young Learners may only be provided by persons who are trained and licensed as Davis Facilitators or Specialists by Davis Dyslexia Association International.
The trademark notice should include a link to the www.dyslexia.com site, tied to the words, “Davis Dyslexia Association International.”
The trademark notice should be placed in a footer or sidebar area on every page of the site which describes the Davis program and/or the Facilitator’s qualifications to provide the program. The notice should be displayed in a font and color that is clearly visible and legible on the page.
If a trademark notice is in place, no other registration ® marks need to be placed on the site. However, if the facilitator chooses to include registration marks when referencing Davis programs, the following may be used:
- Davis Dyslexia Correction ®
- Davis® Orientation Counseling
- Davis® Symbol Mastery
- Davis ® Math Mastery
- Davis ® Attention Mastery
- Davis ® Reading Program for Young Learners
- Davis ® Concept Mastery
If the registration mark is used within page text, it should be used only for the first or most prominent reference to a program or technique on that page.
Short Form Notice
The following notice is appropriate for when space is limited, such as with identifying text on social media accounts, in videos or power point presentations, in internet advertisements, or in e-newsletters:
Professional services described as Davis® or Davis Dyslexia Correction®, may only be provided by persons who are trained and licensed as Davis Facilitators by Davis Dyslexia Association International.
The short form text may be adapted as needed to refer to a specific program or technique that is the subject a presentation– such as to refer to Davis® Attention Mastery rather than Davis Dyslexia Correction®.
Davis Learning Strategies
Davis providers who are qualified as Davis Learning Strategies mentors and/or workshop presenters should include the following notice on any web site page which describes DLS, DLS workshops, or mentoring services:
Davis Learning Strategies® is a trademark of the Ronald D. Davis and Alice E. Davis Living Trust. Commercial use of this trademark for the purposes of training and mentoring teachers requires licensing by the trademark owner.
A link to the www.davislearn.com site should be incorporated within the trademark notice.
Autism Trademark Notice
All information pertaining to Davis Autism services requires approval directly by Ron Davis Autism Foundation (RDAF) (email: mel@rdautismfoundation.org)
Facilitators who are developing new sites with information about both services for Davis Dyslexia services and Davis Autism services should submit their sites for approval to both DDAI (webmaster@dyslexia.com) and to RDAF.
